NSF Chairman visits Real Madrid to discuss cooperation for South Sudanese Youth

NSF Chairman C. Garang Ring Lual met with Jose Angel Sanchez, General Director at Real Madrid, in Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid in April 2014.

C Garang Ring Lual discussed the current situation in South Sudan and encouraged Real Madrid to get involved in South Sudan. He suggested that soccer and basketball courts could be build for South Sudanese Youth affected by war and conflict. South Sudan also requires support in professionalizing its national soccer and basketball teams to harvest its potential in these sports.

Manut Bol and Deng are examples of successful South Sudanese basketball players. A cooperation with Real Madrid, which is not only exceptionally successful in soccer but also in basketball, would certainly unleash a lot of talent.

Mr. Sanchez promised the NSF Chairman to look into the matter and address it with the Real Madrid Foundation.
